Texarribean Chick Posted April 25, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2011 I am presuming like most International Airports, there are plenty of cabs to be hailed. Does anyone have any experience with taking a cab from the airport to Port Canaveral? Are they pretty willing to travel 50 miles? If so, what was the cost? Thanks. Chick. KingPing Posted April 25, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2011 It would probably be cheaper to just book a transfer from Carnival http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/Airport_and_Pier_Transfers/orlando.aspx
bcs819 Posted April 25, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2011 it is also VERY easy to rent a car one way. Getting to Port Canaveral is one road from the airport to the coast. The car rental places in PC run shuttles for free to the port.
firefly333 Posted April 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2011 I agree, it would be prohibitely expensive to take a cab that far.
ChefSusan Posted April 25, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2011 Another thing to consider is Super Shuttle - rates are as follows: ExecuCar Sedan Meet & Greet - $174.00 for up to 4 passengers ExecuCar SUV Meet & Greet - 195.00 for up to 7 passengers Business Express Svc Meet & Greet - $127.00 for up to 6 passengers There is also a $1.00 fuel surcharge - not sure if this is something new or not. OR you can do a one-way car rental from Orlando Int'l to Port Canaveral - Kayak was showing a minimum of $57 for a compact. Enjoy your cruise! Texarribean Chick Posted April 25, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted April 25, 2011 thanks to all. I am just NOT one to take the CCL shuttle and was hoping to not have to sit and wait for another shuttle service to fill up either. Thanks again for the tips!
