Bermudagirl60 Posted May 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2004 About, if there is a certain time you have to be back on the ship at night when in port? Also, is there blankets we can use? My friend likes to have a blanket or two over her. And can you get extra pillows? I'm going to Bermuda on the Horizon in Sept. I have been reading the threads here for a while now and have enjoyed all the information, it has been very helpful. Florida Beach Posted May 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2004 You might want to come back before the ship leaves for the next port . There is a blanket on each bed, extra blankets and pillows in the closet. If you need more, just ask. I haven't received any NO on my cruise. Boo's Mom Posted May 1, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Bermudagirl60..... When you are exiting the ship to go into a port, they will post a board telling you exactly what time you will need to be back onboard. This time is typically 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Yes, they do leave people behind...if they fail to make it back to the ship. However, if folks are on a ship sponsored excursion....and the excursion is held up for any reason...the ship will wait for them. This is the security blanket for scheduling your excursions with the ship. Boo's Mom Even the winds and the waves obey him! Matthew 8:
serene56 Posted May 1, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2004 If you need any extra things and those things are not in your cabin-- ask your cabin steward. (he will be cleaning your cabin twice a day) You MUST be on the ship half hour BEFORE it sails or you will be left behind. CaptData Posted May 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2004 That 30 mins is ship time not island time. Sometimes the ship time and island times do not agree so just check before you go. aqusis Posted May 3, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 3, 2004 Looks like you're cruising to Bermuda which means you'll be docked in one location for several days at a time and at different docks on the island. No you do not have to be on board at a certain time when the ship remains docked overnight, you can stay out all night if you choose. In fact, if the ship is moving between docks on Bermuda, you don't have to be onboard for that either, just be familiar with the schedule so you know which dock to return to. The only time you'll need to be back on board is the last day in Bermuda when you head back out to sea for the trip home. You can also ask your cabin steward for extra blankets and pillows. Enjoy your cruise! Mariner of the Seas

dhcoaster Posted May 14, 2004 #9 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Bermudagirl60, When you go to Bermuda on the Horizon in Sept, the ship will dock. You do not have to return until 30 minutes before sailing back to the USA. This type of cruise the ship is your hotel. Just to let you know, Bermuda more or less sweeps the sidewalks in around 12:00 AM. Also, if the Bermuda Officals are being moody they may come onboard and close down all the night time shows. Casino will also be closed while in port, as with all the shops. It will all be posted in the ships daily guide given to you the night before. Bermuda is a great port to sail into. You should have a great time.
