Gunther1 Posted April 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2011 If you go to the market, have lunch at Lowell's Cafeteria. It's in the heart of the market, not expensive, and has GREAT views of Elliott Bay. http://www.eatatlowells.com
mapleleaves Posted April 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2011 If you jump over the tripadvisor, the Seattle forum has recommendations for one day in town. It really depends on your interests and the time of day, and the weather. You could go to the Seattle Center to visit the Science Center or Music Experience, or Ride the Ducks, or visit the Aquarium. And it's not just a fish market. Pike Place Market covers a few blocks and has fruit, vegetables, flowers, bakeries, restaurants, and vendors selling everything from fresh honey and cheese to jewelry. http://www.visitseattle.org/Visitors/Discover.aspx You can take the light rail from the airport into town for $2.50,in 40 minutes. If you get pushed for time you can take a taxi back for about $45.

I have done the Duck Tour twice and it was great both times. It's fairly inexpensive and so much fun. You start out with a tour on land and then go into the water. You get to see the Sleepless in Seattle home while learning many fun facts about Seattle. It's a great way to spend about 1 - 1/2 hours, plus the driver/tourguides are hilarious.
