Heathrow Hotel w/rail to London &Dover

I need a really "good" hotel near Heathrow (with transfers from the airport) and easy access to Windsor. We are staying 2 nights pre-cruise and don't want to stay in London until our return. Does anyone know of a good hotel within the Heathrow area with rail access to Windsor, etc?

Getting from Heathrow to Windsor by rail involves going to the airport, so no Heathrow hotels will individually have any better rail access. The route is to take the Heathrow Connect train from Heathrow Central to Hayes and Harlington, then change for a train to Slough, then change for a train to Windsor and Eton Central.

 

If you stay at one of the three on-airport hotels, you can take the Heathrow Express transfer from either Terminal 4 (Hilton and Yotel) or Terminal 5 (Sofitel) to Heathrow Central; and then change there for the Heathrow Connect to Hayes and Harlington. If you're at any of the off-airport hotels, then it's either the Hotel Hoppa nightmare, or a local bus (and some of the hotels are in the free travel zone for the local buses), to get yourself to Heathrow Central.

 

You can make the rail journey easier and significantly cheaper if you stay near Hayes and Harlington station instead of at Heathrow. But you may find the hotels round there a bit, well, ho hum.
