srsh1 Posted May 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2011 My husband and 2 adult children are holding 2 Balcony cabins - deck 7. They are connecting cabins but what I would like to know is if the Balconies also connect somehow - can we walk between the two? Thanks for any input! Thanks for any input! Sal I have adjoining cabins on the Navigator next year and this is what I've been able to find: Ships that you can open the balcony dividers: Oasis of the Seas Allure of the Seas Freedom of the Seas Liberty of the Seas Independence of the Seas Ships where it is possible to open the balcony dividers BUT it is up to the Captain (due to a different design of the dividers than the above ships): Mariner of the Seas Navigator of the Seas Ships where the dividers are fixed and cannot be opened: Voyager of the Seas Explorer of the Seas Adventure of the Seas Radiance of the Seas Brilliance of the Seas Serenade of the Seas Jewel of the Seas Legend of the Seas Splendor of the Seas Grandeur of the Seas Enchantment of the Seas Vision of the Seas Rhapsody of the Seas Monarch of the Seas Majesty of the Seas
Keri's Cruisin' Posted May 5, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2011 Just sailed on the Navigator in November and we had adjoining balcony staterooms on the hump and they refused to open the divider. We were very disappointed about this but was told that is the Captain's decision and he won't allow it on this ship.
srsh1 Posted May 5, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted May 5, 2011 Keri- Were the balconies separated by glass or a wall of some sort - were you able to see and talk to the other balcony? Sal
will773 Posted May 5, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2011 I was on the Navigator a couple of weeks ago and they would not open up the dividers. I was not aware that it was the captains decision though. Why would they choose to not let them be open?

Sal Hey Sal, The divider is a frosted glass door and no, you can't see through them. We had to peek out and over the side to talk to my sister and her friend next to us. Was kind of a bummer. We were hoping to all sit out there together.
barbie5401 Posted May 6, 2011 #8 Share Posted May 6, 2011 It is a bummer they won't open them for you on the NAV but on our many cruises on her the Captain said NO, SAFETY ISSUE!
