Family of 4 from Newark to Midtown?

What is the best way (balance btw cost and ease) for us to get from Newark to Midtown on a wednesday evening around 7:15pm? Our airline had a link for car service but it said only 1-3 people per car.

I'm assuming you're talking about going from Newark Airport to midtown? You can take the train ($12.50/pp) or the airport bus ($15/pp) or call a car service like Black Executive.

 

Airport bus stops at the terminals and leaves you off near Port Authority. For the train you take the monorail to Newark Airport station and get off at Penn Station in NY.

Yes sorry the Newark Airport. Since we have kids don't want to be carting the bags around to much. Is there shuttle busses? Are there taxies that take 4 people?

Your best bet for what you want is to call Dial 7 car service. They have vans and their charge is reasonable - for New York. :p

I'd still check out the airport bus - kids under 12 ride free with an adult, so if your kids are under 12, you would only pay $15/pp for the adults. The buses pick up at the terminals, so not much luggage carting there. Luggage can go under the bus. There are 3 drop off points in NYC - perhaps one of them is close to your destination. Anyway hopping a cab in midtown will not be expensive.
