I booked the cruise for just my DH and 2 kids 12 and 8

I planned on leaving the 2 year old home

I was to afraind to carry her there with us

Plus this is our first cruise and I wanted to know the ropes first

What do you think

If you want to leave her at home, and have a trusted relative...do it! She won't remember this at all.

However, if you want her with you, it's not a big problem! Cruising is simply a vacation...you really don't need "experience" to bring the entire family with you. There are no "ropes" to learn.

You check in, just like a hotel. You do what you want, just like at any resort. Your food is mostly included, unless you want to do some "specialty" dining.

You'll research your ports, so you'll know what will interest everyone...a guidebook (libraries or bookstores!) will aid you in this.

I think you're overthinking the entire vacation!
