Water in Dining Room?

Do they serve water at the table in the dining rooms? That's all I drink and I'm wondering if I have to buy bottled water every meal or they have water in glasses at no charge?

The potable (drinking) water onboard is distilled and very good to drink. We also take a couple of 1L insulated water bottles when we cruse. That way you do not have to buy bottled water to take off the ship.

All cruise lines have water available at no charge, not just in the dining rooms, but also at drink stations near the buffets. The ships desalinate ocean water, which is purified and usually quite tasty; however, on one ship (out of my last 10 cruises), the water did have a rather funky aftertaste. Bottled water is also available, at an extra charge. Some folks bring aboard their own bottled water-- I've read on these boards of passengers bringing a full case with them when they board.

We take 12 1.5 litre bottles of spring water in a suitcase when we go onboard. It is better thank buying water, especially when you go off of the ship. The empty suitcase we have after the water is gone doubles as a souviner carrier.

I recommend bringing a couple water bottles for each person, which can be refilled at the drink station. These will be very useful for shore excursions -- water runs $2 per bottle!

In the dining room, you should receive water for free without asking.
