EithneMay Posted May 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2011 DH and I will be cruising on the Eclipse, and this will be our first "S" class ship. We usually are quite content with a regular balcony cabin. Seeing as we have some time to decide, what veranda cabins do you recommend and why? kitkat9438 Posted May 11, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2011 DH and I will be cruising on the Eclipse, and this will be our first "S" class ship. We usually are quite content with a regular balcony cabin. Seeing as we have some time to decide, what veranda cabins do you recommend and why? You will love the Eclipse. It is my favorite ship!! We normally get CC cabins, but last December sailing on the Eclipse (our first time for S class) we decided to try out Aqua class. The cost for it was actually cheaper than most of the CC class. With Aqua you get all of the amenities of CC, plus more. One of the best benefits is having Blu as your exclusive dining room that is only for Aqua class passengers (and some Suite passengers for a fee on a space available basis). Blus is smaller and more intimate and most people really love dining here. You are not restricted to Blu however, and you can dine in the MDR on a space available basis. You also get free bottled water and tea, nicer balcony furniture, bedding, towels, free access to ther Persian Gardens (heated tile loungers and saunas) and Relaxation Room. It also has fresh flowers, fresh fruit and canapes delivered daily. On S class ships, most balcony cabins are the same size, but there are cabins on the hump that have larger balconies (almost triple the size of the normal balcony). For this reason, I would look for one of these cabins to see if there's one available. You shouldn't have any problems finding one this far out. Here's the list of good cabin numbers to look for: Resort Deck: 2105, 2109, 2106, 2110 Penthouse Deck: 1547, 1552, 1601, 1605, 1606, 1610 Sky Deck: 1075, 1044, 1231, 1243, 1247, 1108, 1120, 1124 Panorama Deck: 9155, 9192, 9209, 9215, 9237, 9241, 9266, 9270, 9292, 9296 Vista Deck: 8197, 8160, 8257, 8253, 8230, 8226, 8279, 8283, 8252, 8256 Sunrise Deck: 7159, 7206, 7215, 7219, 7241, 7245, 7260, 7264, 7286, 7290 Continental Deck: 6155, 6156, 6209, 6215, 6237, 6241, 6210, 6214, 6236, 6240 We had cabin 1606 which is one of the largest cabins on the hump. Here's what it looks like:

ken85121 Posted May 12, 2011 #9 Share Posted May 12, 2011 Hi, On your listing of Aqua class cabins, you did not listCabin 1608.......any specific reason? I have it booked for my Feb cruise?? He actually forgot several for some reason on the hump. :) We were in 1610 on the Eclipse in Aqua Class. 1608 was right next door. Although not quite as large as 1610, 1608 has a much larger balcony than non-hump cabins. You will LOVE the location of the cabins. They whole Aqua Class experience was wonderful. Enjoy the Eclipse. Say hello to Lazar in Qsine for me!

Rare ghstudio Posted October 25, 2011 #13 Share Posted October 25, 2011 Question about Aqua Class.... Do you get the double cruise credits that you get with the CC cabins? I believe that you don't get double credits...you get one additional credit for booking a cc, aqua class or suite, irrespective of the length of the cruise.
