Hi there we are going 4/17/05. I like to lay out and listen to the band what time do have have to get out there to be able to get a chair. If I have to be on a higher deck that would be fine.

Thanks,

well guys the victory was a great ship we was on the eastern Itenary. the meals were good and the deck band was good also .The shows would of been good if the male singer could sing he was awful. the dancers and female was good though. the ship was very clean . watch the casino though I think they have the slots too tight LOL as far as deck chairs you could get a good seat most of the time on our cruise I guess the reason the spring breakers were there and they spent most of there time up top of the ship now right around the pool was a little crowded but you could get a good lounge most of the time. we have been on 3 previous cruises with carnival and also on the caribbean princess and the victory rates right up at the top of one of the best we didnt want it to end. we were in Cabin 8435 right on back of the ship right under the lido pool on the aft we had an extra large Balcony it was great every one of the crew was very nice and very attentive also if you drink go to the aft lido pool bar the bar tender from Bali cant remember his name but he is great and he will get you drunk LOL If you have any specific questions I will try to answer Have a great day James

We are going in December. How come you stopped at Totola, and our itinerary does St. Martin? Thanks for the great info. Our cabin is on the Verandah deck, close to the seven seas atrium (I think that is what the brochure said). Is that a good location? We had to get a quad for us four. Thanks for the great info.

kelz66, don't mean to flame you, it's not really like me, but if you want to avoid kids don't go on Carnival. Go with Holland America. Carnival is a family ship. PS we were on the Triupmh last year (sister ship) and nowhere did it say that the aft lido pool was adults only. The hot tubs are for adults only but not the pools. Personally I don't let my kids in the hot tubs, I don't think it is good for them, but some people do. If they are in there just tell them nicely that they sre not supposed to be there, or let security know. Other than that and the disco at night, I don't think there are any adult only areas on the ship.

also got one of those large balcony aft cabins, think it is as good as a suite (would be the same price)

also, in some of the reviews, I have read alot of negative comments about lines for the buffet, lines for this, lines for that, and so on, did you find this to be the case.

Looking forward to seeing this one, have been on almost every other Carnival ship it seems like. We are going 4/24.

Thanks for your response :)

to save some of that sunshine, be glad we are not going today, it is a dismal day here in Stuart Florida.

My DH is going to go diving in Grand Cayman, I am going to sit with a good book, probably a Jane Austen, and in Jamaica we have hired a tour guide recommended here to take us on some tours for the day. Cost for him is 120.00 for the "plantation" tours for the both of us. It would have been the same to see Marleys home, but it is a two hour drive both ways :(

I have been in Cozumel numerous times, and probably will not do an excursion there. Just got back from an eight day land vacation in Mexico, so I am about Mexico'ed out right now.

So you heard about the lines too....maybe the original poster will be kind enough to answer us.

I have read ***lots*** of reviews on the ship, and of course it is the mixed half had complaints, half loved it...no such thing as a bad cruise for me though

We are travel on the Vicotory for our first cruise. Can you tell me if there is sushi on board? As well what is the scoop on bringing you own alcohol on. Weare taking a Western Carribean cruise and stopping at Ocho Rios, Cozumel and Grand Caymen. Can you sugguest any tours or if I should but them before we go or after?

We went same route two years ago on the Sensation!

Excursions: Grand Caymen swam with the sting rays  (recommend!)

Cozumel, catamaran beach swim (recommend!) we had a long day in Coz. Went back to the ship after showed up and went back into town to Carlos and Charles (food stunk but you could not beet the drinks!)

I am on the Victory, Eastern itinerary, June 26 with my 2 teenage sons. I keep telling them that there is lots to do on board, but they keep asking "like what?"

Any chance you can email me the Capers from the Eastern route trip? That would be a big help in getting them motivated :)

Thanks

Hi All. I have 2 young daughters on our first cruise 22 Oct. I will mkae sure they have fun without being a nuisance to anyone. People pay a lot for their holidays and there is nothng worse than unruly kids. Anyhow my question is this. at the time we are going does that coincide with American holidays? Will it be any busier than usual?:)

Thanks everyone
