Blue MS Nieuw Amsterdam inaugural wall..?

Hello happy cruiser

 

hereby I refer to my report about the splendid Inaugural events onboard of the MS Nieuw Amsterdam last June.

Does somebody recently cruising on here have found those blue walls around the Atrium of the vessel ?

If yes, do you have pictures ?

 

 

Does someone has somewhere have seen the white flags I also talked about, or are they all placed in the bridge area ?

As of when I sailed on her in 2010, the wall was not yet installed. I believe there were reports through december of the wall still not being installed but that it would be in the atrium.

 

Not sure why it's taking so long! I was hoping to see it. Someday I'll have to book her again to visit the wall :-)

We were on board just before ariawoman, so of course we didn't see the signature wall either ... and didn't notice any white flags that you described either.

GERD it was told to me by the Captain when we were on the Neiuw Amsterdam this past March that this would be installed this summer when the ship arrived back in Europe. He was pretty sure they would do a bit of an unveiling of this. So I am sure in the upcoming weeks we will hear about this :)

And because the MS Nieuw Amsterdam is already in Europe, I guess they will introduce and unveiling those blue walls while be in Venice.

 

And the next arrival day will be tomorrow Mai 22…….!

 

 

Another question I do have concerning the HAL Gift to all Dam-Ships…

We've been on Maasdam, Noordam and Eurodam since and have not seen the flag on any of those ship. I am sure I would have noticed.

Dear CC member,

 

I’m still interested to hear about those inaugural blue walls – are they now at the Atrium, or somewhere else ??

 

 

Side-remark :

 

During my Ms Ryndam cruise last month, I asked the Captain about the white Flag – well, he even did not know about it.

 

Which means that the Ryndam Captain, present at the inaugural ceremony, took it as a souvenir at home….:confused:
