Dmgmd50 Posted May 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2011 Obviously there is a charge for messages, facials, etc at the Spa. What services are included in the fare without an additional charge: use of fitness center, aerobic classes, steam room, whirlpool, etc? Also, what is the Sanctuary? The fitness center, steam rooms and locker facilities are included in the cruise fare. The hot tubs which are adjacent to the ships pool are free, the Thalasotherapy pool on the spa deck is extra cost. Patrons of the Spa are permitted to use the Spa deck & whirlpool for an hour before or after a treatment, and Passengers who have booked a Suite on the ship also have free access. An outline of any additional Spa services, along with their approximate cost, may be found at the Canyon Ranch Website. http://www.canyonranch.com/ The Sanctuary is an "outdoor living room" type of a space. Dmgmd50 Posted May 17, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted May 17, 2011 Thanks for this information, JimandStan. I also have seen & enjoyed the photos and 'reviews' you have posted about the Marina as we will be sailing on the July 15th/11 cruise. Could you tell me, if you know, was the fitness centre easy to use or was it always too busy? Thanks, Cathy I would imagine that there is a difference if it is a day at sea as oppposed to a day in port.

Thanks, Cathy DMGM50 is correct, the fitness Center is busier on sea days, and, if our cruise was any indicator, there may be times when treadmill usage is restricted to shorter sessions in order to accommodate the overflow. We quickly adapted our schedule to hours when there was less demand (early evening), and never had a problem. Enjoy your cruise!
Rare LHT28 Posted May 17, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2011 It also depends on the cruise Some cruises you cannot get near the gym other we have been able to get a machine anytime the gym is empty

Jim You mentioned that those in suites have free access to the spa deck and whirlpool. We are in a PH but haven't been able to find anything about this in Oceania's website. Do you know if this applies to PH's also.l
pacheco18 Posted May 18, 2011 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2011 The latest fitness trend is to do a "boot camp" on board. Is O offering this on Marina? It would be great on my TA with so many sea days.
