Yes, Princess has an excursion to St. Johns. You can either pick the morning at Trunk Bay or the Island tour. Check the excursion sight on Princess's website.

St. Johns and Trunk Bay are beautiful. :D

I happen to have these for some research I was doing. There are three tours to St. John and you also have the option of doing it on your own (taking taxi to Red Hook, Ferry to St. John, then either tour Cruz Bay or take taxi to one of the beaches from Cruz Bay). We've stayed in St. John several times and it is a beautiful island and we've only done the half-day champagne sail with Princess (it was on Christmas Day) and we really enjoyed it.

St. John Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkle

Your tour begins as you board a ferry for a 45-minute, narrated cruise to St. John, known as the "Emerald of the Caribbean." Upon arriving in the charming town of Cruz Bay, you'll board an open-air safari bus for a scenic drive to Trunk Bay in Virgin Islands National Park, the southernmost National Park in the United States covering approximately three-fifths of St. John. Be sure to bring your camera, as you'll make three photo stops along the way. Upon arriving at Trunk Bay, you'll be in awe over its stunning beauty.

Bordered by sea grape trees, coconut palms, and tropical forests, its crystal blue-green waters are teeming with coral reef life. After a short orientation, you'll set out on the famous underwater snorkel trail, following markers that describe the many species of fish and corals that make Trunk Bay their home. For over an hour, you're free to snorkel, swim, or simply relax. Your tour concludes with a return ride aboard the ferry to the pier.

St. John Champagne Cruise

Your tour begins with an open-air safari bus transfer to a small marina on the eastern side of St. Thomas. At the marina, you'll step aboard a catamaran and cruise off the south coast of St Thomas before the brisk sail across Pillsbury Sound to St. John. Upon arrival at St. John, you'll anchor at a special mooring off Honeymoon Beach located in the National Park St John swim, snorkel, or relax under the swaying palms for approximately 90 minutes. Snorkeling equipment, a snorkel vest and professional instruction are provided. After snorkeling board the catamaran, where you'll enjoy complimentary fresh-baked breads, cheeses, fruit, complimentary champagne beer and other mixed drinks as well as soft drinks and juices are yours to enjoy.

St. John Island Tour

Your tour begins with a 45-minute narrated boat ride to the island of St. John, known as the "Emerald of the Caribbean." Upon arriving in the charming town of Cruz Bay, you'll board an open-air safari transportation for a scenic drive around the island. Along the way, your guide will provide insight into St. John's rich history, lush, tropical foliage and its indigenous wildlife. You'll witness white-sand beaches and panoramic views of the British Virgin Islands.

Also on your itinerary are the ruins of the Annaberg sugar mill, an 18th-century sugar plantation with an abundance of greenery and flowers bursting among the stone ruins, and Whistling Cay. You'll also visit such scenic overlooks as Trunk Bay( one of the most photographed beaches in the world) Hawksnest Bay, and Caneel Bay, overlooking the famous Rockefeller plantation. Next, you'll drive to Bordeaux Mountain. At a 1,277 feet elevation, it's the highest summit in the Virgin Islands, providing one of the most extraordinary vista points. You'll cap off your tour with a return to Cruz Bay for shopping before your boat ride back to St. Thomas.

We went to St. John's on our own; there are ferries from both Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook. Once on St. John, we took a jitney island tour, but instead of completing the circle, we were dropped off at Trunk Bay, where we relaxed, snorkled, and had lunch, then took a cab back to the ferry. It worked very well for us.

LOL! I have never heard St John referred to as "the Emerald of the Caribbean"! That name belonged to Montserrat. St John's nickname is "Love City".

If you want to spend extra time on St John, take the ferry from Red Hook and arrange a taxi. You will spend a chunk of your day in transit, but sometimes the journey is as enjoyable as the destination.
