elcuchio24 Posted May 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2011 This fall we have booked a 4 nighter on Imagination, a night in miami, 7 nighter on Liberty, and are now looking at maybe staying another night in miami and doing a 3 nighter on a different line. Anyone ever do, not exactly a back to back, but a 'cruise vacation' similar to this? Thoughts?
CWcruisers Posted May 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2011 I did a 7 night on the Legend out of Tampa, got off the ship, flew to Miami, spent the night in a hotel and got on the Miracle for an 8 day. It was great. The saving grace for me is I am a VIP so I have free laundry.:D

Guess we'll load on on quarters before we go (more for DW than me):) I like the fact that we'll get the have 3 ship experiences in one trip, and strange to say I am actually kinda looking forward to being on a couple smaller ships since we have never sailed on any ship smaller than Triumph. BettyCruiser Posted May 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2011 In 2006 we did 2 nights in South Beach, then 4 nights on Majesty OTS then two nights at the Intercontinental then 7 nights on the Freedom OTS. The 4 nights on Majesty were so cheap I couldn't resist. The only snafu I ran into was, when booking the Intercontinental on HotWire it said laundry as an amenity. The laundry was a per piece laundry service which was very expensive. Luckily we had friends at the Holiday Inn, so I could do laundry there instead. MikeyA53 Posted May 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2011 We did 4 cruises, a 4 day on Destiny, a 4 day on Imagination, 2 days off then 7 days on Valor and 6 days on Freedom.
crow99 Posted May 23, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 23, 2011 We thought about doing a B2B2B in a similar way to this as we wanted to try different ships. In the end we went with a B2B on the Liberty, the rational was, that we could book the same cabin and therefore not have to pack/unpack, we wanted the little time where we have the ship 'to ourselves', it worked out cheaper than a B2B2B including mini-cruises and getting to/from the ports etc.. and lastly we got to see better ports! Either way sure you will have a great time :D

Get quarters from the casino or Guest Services. Why lug them onboard? The Purex 3n1 sheets work great.
serene56 Posted May 23, 2011 #8 Share Posted May 23, 2011 If I could ever do a B2B this is the way I would do it. At least your shows will be different- *(your menus in the MDR will be similar for those 4 days. Hopefully your ports will be different
magic&buddy Posted May 24, 2011 #9 Share Posted May 24, 2011 We are doing 4 nights on the Imagination (Oct. 24-28) and will then spend 2 nights in Miami and the 7 nights on the Valor. Family will join us on the 29th in Miami and join us on the Valor. The hotel we stay at in between cruises has laundry facilities so that problem dealt with. Can't wait! BettyCruiser Posted May 24, 2011 #12 Share Posted May 24, 2011 I recently saw a post that someone was booked on a B2B2B on the Celebrity Constellation, 14 night Holy Land, 13 night TransAtlantic, 14 night Caribbean. That's a long time on the ship.
Froufie Posted May 24, 2011 #13 Share Posted May 24, 2011 That is a long time - but my 'dream' cruise is a 'round the world cruise - about 120 days - a great 'retirement present' don't you think? :D:D
luvmysox1 Posted May 24, 2011 #14 Share Posted May 24, 2011 B2B on different ships is the way to to go. Everything is still new and repeats. We have done it both ways. Once NOLA Truimph and a day between to Mobile Elation, two 5 day cruises. We did laundry at the hotel in between and repacked. This past Jan. we did a B2B in the same cabin (no moving required) for 2 cruises with differnt ports for 10 days. Lots of repeating things though. I like see differentships so if I do it again we do it like we did the first B2B.

Hopefully your ports will be different I think it'll be cool to mix up the ships, plus the final leg will be on NCL, so at least we can look forward to some different shows/food on that ship. I understand the convenience of staying in the same cabin on the same ship, but DW and I are young, no kids, not that tough to move our stuff. We really enjoy the collective 4 nights in Miami as well, just kinda extends the vacation. All the ports will be different except we go to Coz twice, but one day will be a Nachi day so that's fine with me!:)

Have a great cruise Ya, that's the whole thing. We figured we have enough vacation days, airfare is the same if we're gone for a week or 16 days, and the short cruises are pretty cheap.
