Deposit Question

I may have to cancel my August cruise and since today is final payment day :( I have a dilemma, since part of the payment I have already made on my current cruise consists of $500 from cashing in my RCCL points. If I cancel I know I can transfer my deposit and that $500 to another cruise- but if I can't decide on when to take the next one, can/will RCCL just hold that money for me so I don't lose the points money-until such time as we all agree when we can go ?

Any TA's familiar with this question..?

Don't cancel, change your existing booking to another. If you cancel, you may lose the Visa points coupon.
