Cour10ay Posted May 25, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2011 We will be cruising on the Mariner OTS, Western Med. 26 August. Have not cruised on her before, but have been on the Navigator OTS. Any big differences? Some new ports for me - Genoa, Palma de Mallorca - and no replies on the Roll Call for this sailing. Any ideas for either of these ports? Also, anyone know who the CD will be? Thanks in advance.
sidari Posted May 25, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2011 The current CD is Keiron Buffery from the UK, Palma.. Majorca is very nice, not been to Genoa. We came back from the Mariner 2 days ago but prefer the Brilliance and Oasis over this particular ship.Enjoy your cruise ..... :) here is a link to webcams in Genoa .... http://www.webcam.comune.genova.it/
Cour10ay Posted May 25, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted May 25, 2011 Thanks for the info, sidari! Will check out the Genoa webcam. We've had Keiron before, several times. And I agree - love the Radiance Class ships, didn't love the Navigtor. But heck, a cruise is a cruise so no complaints here.
dfgf Posted May 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2011 The Mariner and the Navigator are nearly identical - you will feel a distinct sense of deja vu. The only thing that really separates them in my mind is that the Mariner's decor is a little more subdued/elegant.
Cour10ay Posted May 25, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted May 25, 2011 Subdued and elegant can't be a bad thing. Thanks, dfgf. When we were on Navigator 3 years ago, we did notice that she was looking a little shabby, but it didn't spoil our cruise.
