Things open in Victoria

We are in port in Victoria in July 5pm-11:30pm. Will there be much open at that time of day/night within walking distance. Thought we might just look around on our own and not do a tour. Is that safe to do for 2 females? Will we miss alot by doing this?

Victoria will be crawling with tourists in July and it will be light til after 9PM - you will dock about a mile from the downtown tourist hub - so take a shuttle bus into the Empress and just start walking - most shops will be open to 9PM at least

 

I am sure that some of the locals from Victoria on these boards will be able to help you better than I

Hello from Victoria!. Yes everything will be open good advise to take a shuttle to the Empress and use that as a starting point. From there Government St. shops will be open also pubs and resturants and some attractions. The place will be packed with people on the causway watching the buskers, go ahead take a walk around, Victoria is very safe,hope you enjoy your stay.

There should be a night tour of Butchard Gardens that most likley will be available though the ship.

Yep, plenty to consider. But also look at the shuttle to the Inner Harbor, it's quite a walk from Odgen Point dock. Doable with time, if you just want to look around.
