phrankbama Posted May 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2011 According to info I found on the FLL web page, taxi fare from the airport to the port is $12, but it also says a van ride share is $11 per person. So I was wondering if that $12 for the taxi is per person, or a flat fee. Does anyone have recent experience taking a cab from the airport to Port Everglades? Are there any better alternative transportation options? There are 7 of us. Thanks.
loudbmw Posted May 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Prices are per cab - as many as you can fit in (up to 4 people if the luggage will fit). Two cabs would be the way to go for a party of seven. They do run the meter when standing still (like clearing security gate at the port) but that may add only a couple of bucks. They have taxi "vans" that hold more but I don't know what they charge. Taxis are very efficient from the pier to FLL (either way) as the distance between the two is short.

Cruising89143 Posted May 28, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2011 I seem to remember the price being something like $12.00 to $14.00 plus tip in January.
