nationaltreasure79 Posted June 13, 2011 #26 Share Posted June 13, 2011 Is there a place on the website for the 2011 FRED schedule? There was a newspaper article that I read when I tried to find the 2011 FRED schedule that mentioned that bus #8 would take FRED's place this year. Do you know anything about this? gold1953 Posted June 30, 2011 #28 Share Posted June 30, 2011 Fred is no longer !!:( It was retired at the end of last year. We now have route 8 which is $2.75 Adult, $2.00 senior or child.:) Always get a transfer when you get on as it is good for any other ride within 90 minutes. It just does the waterfront area but you can transfer to another route. No bus goes up Citadel hill..just to the bottom. The buses are wheelchair accessible. maryann ns Posted July 1, 2011 #29 Share Posted July 1, 2011 So if you want to visit Citadel Hill, you can walk up (for active people), or take a taxi (about $10 from the pier). On your own and walking, or pushing a wheelchair you can go the entire length of the waterfront and up Spring Garden Road. The latter is a shopping street and you will find the Public Gardens there.
