Early Saver - don't accept "no" the first time!

Recommended Posts

I have early saver on the Pride for 9/11. I'd gotten two decreases before yesterday ($20 and $90)... Two days ago I applied for the ES because the Past Guest rate was down by $50. The response was that I was not entitled to that because the price was for an upgrade.... I responded "If I were to book a room today for 8E balcony on Early Saver, I would be paying XXXX... I don't understand why you won't give me that rate. "

Got a nice email today that I WAS eligible!! The rate went down even more and I got a $90 decrease... So far, we've got $200 in decreases!!!

So.... don't accept "no" if you think you're right!!! Keep trying:)

Hoping it continues to go down... they'll get it back in more DODs for me and hubby, and some in the Casino!!!

Happy Sailing!!;)

It took getting my travel agent on a 3 way call to get anything done.

Based on everything I've read here, if I ever book ES, I will not do it through a TA. They don't like price drops and there are many threads about people who lose out when the TA doesn't submit it in time.

I had the same problem. I sent in the form for 5 cabins, one was approved the first time, one the second time, but the others required submitting the forms three times, making two phone calls, and finally sending an email to the address on the bottom of the rejection and they finally got it all settled.

When I book a cruise I book for the week that's least expensive to start with(or at least close) so I'm grateful if I get back any OBC. Right now we have 50 bucks a piece, so kudos for you who get back more when booking the week you really want.
