Info reqd please. How many Formal nights are there & on which nights. Father-in-law wants to treat us to an Anniversary meal & don't want to book the Tuscan Grill on a Formal night.:confused: It is our 1st time on Celebrity & we are so excited. Already been through my packing deciding what to take & what not to take:) & the what not to take is winning:D Oh well, just have to pay excess baggage again:D:D

You really don't need to get this information from a guest who has just completed a cruise like yours... Regardless of ship/itinerary, number of formal nights is dependent upon the length of your cruise...

 

Your post doesn't state the duration of your cruise but if you were to search the term Formal Nights on the Celebrity website, you will readily find a chart that will tell you the number of formal nights to expect on your sailing...

 

It's fully predictable...

 

When those formal nights occur is somewhat a matter of itinerary... If your first full day after departure is a sea day, expect that will be your first... If your next to last day prior to return is a sea day, that will likely be another... And if your cruise is long enough to warrant a third formal night, expect that it will be on a sea day that is approximately mid-trip... Formal nights are usually--but not always--on sea days; days with short port calls are sometimes used if necessary... The first night [of the day that you board the ship] and the last night [prior to concluding your cruise; you'll be packing to disembark] are never--that I've seen--formal nights...

Thank you for your reply. But I asked the question regarding this cruise because we are doing the same Itinerary, 12 nights around the Med starting on the 19th June & surely someone who has just been on this cruise will know the answer regarding the Formal nights.

A good way to ask that would be to go to the roll call for that cruise and ask some of those who have been on it. The roll calls can be reached by clicking the forum link, top left of the screen.
