travelnole Posted June 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2011 One of the tour operators suggested we get a packed lunch from the cruise ship to bring along on our whale watching excursion. Does Princess allow this? If not, where is good place to grab a quick bite between tours in Juneau?

wolfie11 Posted June 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2011 You are not allowed per US law to take food off a cruise ship as it is a foreign vessel (not sure how that applies to Seattle ported ships, though). There are a lot of shops to buy snacks/lunches in town, but if you are taking a bus from the dock, you may have problems.
HulieVA Posted June 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2011 If your ship docks at the main town dock, next to the Marine (car) Park...tour busses often load and leave from here...there are several food carts at the side of the bus park area, the opposite direction from the multi-story car park. bearbait Posted October 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2014 Try V's Cellar Door on Seward street. It is easy walking distance and has a fantastic menu where the flavors just pop - a Mexican base with flavors infused from Korean spices - sooo amazing! Nice ambiance and great prices too. Owner is really friendly and service was great! Since this was originally posted 3 years ago I sure hope they found their sack lunches by now.
