Kitty34 Posted March 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2005 We will be heading out of NOLA on a western carribean cruise. Just wondering if we will get chilly at all anywhere not counting the air conditioning.:) Our cruise is 4/4.
cjh Posted March 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2005 It's always chilly if you plan on spending any time out on the deck or balcony at night when the ship is at sea because of the winds
serene56 Posted March 18, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2005 Since you are from Michigan and can stand very cold tempertures.. (LOL) I see NOLA temps are in the high 60's. Sailing down the Mississippi can get mighty cool. But even the public areas of the ship are cool at night. walking the decks outside --very breezy- Warm clothes??? all ya need is a sweater /sweatshirt of light jacket. Nothing with fur in it...lol
trish1c Posted March 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2005 Kitty -- Several years ago I was in NOLA through the end of March. At night I was glad I had a leather jacket. Are you staying there or just leaving & returning?
Kitty34 Posted March 20, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted March 20, 2005 Trish, we're spending the night before and will be walking down Bourbon street in the evening. I also was concerned about the evenings on board the ship. Yes, Serene56, I think I will definetly leave the furs in Michigan. Gosh the rate our winter is hanging on, 40 degrees would feel like a heat wave!!!
springtxbill Posted March 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 20, 2005 Only during the first and last days at sea will it be cool at all. :)
TheWog Posted March 24, 2005 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2005 We went in January (out of FLL) and didn't need warm clothing. Well, the ladies wanted sweatshirts, but other than that it was beautiful the whole time.
