WOO HOO! Passport is here!

Recommended Posts

Expedited and overnight service and it took 8 days?! It doesn't sound very expedited or overnight to me. Was this a first time passport or a renewal?

Congrats on having it though. At least you've got it in time for your cruise so this is one less thing to worry about.

Normally overnight, expedited service is 2 - 3 weeks so there was a small chance we were not going to get it in time. So i am very happy. It was a first time passport for a minor child - it is for my dd's friend - her parents were very lazy and never got it. So, if it didn't come in time we were leaving her home. It is actually not for a cruise, just for a normally trip to Atlantis (Bahamas) so a bc wouldn't work.

8 days, door to door with expedited and overnight service. We went to the post office on May 31 and it just showed up a few minutes ago. We are leaving June 22nd so we were really cutting it close!

That is AMAZING!!! I am envious! I sent my passport for renewal 4 weeks ago today (with expedited service) and STILL don't have it! I leave next Saturday on my cruise! Fortunately, I am on a closed-loop Bermuda cruise and can just use my birth certificate and photo I.D.

Wow. You should have had it by now. Did you go online and check?

THere is a phone number on the page for those who have not received it and are traveling within 7 days. I would give them a call. Last year my dd renewed hers and it too FOREVER - turns out the rejected her photo and we had to redo it!

Good Luck!

Hey Bonnie, long time no see ... glad that your passport is on its way to you. Our own recent experience re Passports has also been quite good in terms of processing by DOS.

BTW, we got very lucky on our upcoming Freedom cruise, will be in JS 1706 ... our second aft, can't believe it was available (based on your previous recommendations, of course).

Regards,

Michael
