brooms Posted June 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2011 I have booked on the Valor for November - Room 1267, I would like to hear some reviews about this room, is it noisey being near the elevators and also is there a picture window or portholes, any info would be appreciated. What category is this room? I doubt many people have had this exact cabin on this exact ship...
firefly333 Posted June 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Looks like you had to pay for a 6B, a full sized window, mach says 3 X 5? Iv never heard noise from the elevators, but always a chance some pax is noisy.

We were far from the elevators, so I can't help you with that question. Our cabin was next to one with some loud toddlers, needless to say, I asked them to be quiet after the first day...

firefly333 Posted June 12, 2011 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Read a review from someone in cabin 1271 which is 2 away from ours toward middles of ship and they said they had a port hole Maybe they got the cabin # wrong .. because its a full window. the only port holes on any carnival ship are forward where you can see the hull bends and they cant put in a flat window. can you see this?? the port holes are marked with a diamond.. all forward. http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Main/decks.php?ship=Carnival%20Valor this was from Elation last month, your cabin will be larger 220 s.f., but this is what your window looks like .. not huge, but not port holes
brooms Posted June 12, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted June 12, 2011 Thanks, happy to know it is a window not a port hole!!
nytraveller53 Posted June 12, 2011 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2011 The only cabins that have a porthole instead of a window will be appropriately named "Porthole" (technically an interior), cat PT. It's a great way to get the Ocean view experience at an interior price.
