The partnership formed to purchase and operate the Str. AMERICAN QUEEN has a new web-site. It's http://www.greatamericansteamboatcompany.com. The headquarters will be in Memphis and it is scheduled to open sometime during August. Cruises are reported to begin next April. Hopefully, it will be in time for the boat to steam north to race the Str. BELLE OF LOUISVILLE and M.V. BELLE OF CINCINNATI during The Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville..

The AQ has left the MARAD reserve fleet in Beaumont, TX, yesterday and is on her way to Sulphur/LA for the needed renovation.
