Although the experience was very harrowing at the time, we both want to cruise again and wonder if anybody has taken a cruise after a similar experience and did they have trouble getting future travel insurance?

It does in the UK where the OP is from. Over there the previous heart problem could exclude them from finding any coverage for years to come.
