Millennium smoking sections?

Anything can happen between now and 2012 so this might change -- I'm wondering why you need to know now -- but currently, port side around the pool, the aft bar, one side of Observation Lounge on deck 11, port side (outside) where there are ashtrays on deck 5. You are booked on the starboard side, so probably there will be no smoke rising from deck 5 toward you, but be aware that when in port it is possible that they will move the deck 5 smoking to the starboard side if they are refueling or doing other maintenance on the port side. ( And no smoking in any stateroom or verandah.)

As of November 2010, the following are the smoking areas on M-class ships:

Smoking areas on M-class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Constellation & Summit) include the following locations:

Deck 11 (Sunrise Deck forward) – Port-side only -- in the Nightclub (also called Disco) –– this is the only indoor area

Deck 10 (Resort Deck mid-ship) – Port-side only – outside between the Buffet (Waterfall Café/Grill) and the Pool Bar

Deck 10 (Resort Deck aft) – Port-side only – outside of the Buffet (Waterfall Café/Grill)

Deck 4 (Promenade Deck mid-ship) – Port-side only – outside between restaurant (Cosmopolitan Rest.) and Celebrity Theatre

Note that the official names (Nightclub, etc.) are the designation on the Summit, but will be different for the other M-class ships

As cruisestitch indicated this may change as the M-class ships are “Solsterized”.

Thank you for those who responded. As to why I am interested, I've been reading threads about cabins near the outdoor smoking areas still smelling smoke, and hearing loud conversations late at night from that area.

If I need to change cabins, it's early enough to still get that done.

Thanks again,

Brenda

I was on the Millie in January and no smoking was allowed on deck 4 on either side.

On the Summit they allowed smoking on deck 4 on one side, but the Millie they did not.

It may have changed again but I was told that it was the Captains choice and the Captain decided not to allow it on that deck. That is the deck with the Casino and Michaels club, so if you were enjoying those areas you had to go to deck 10 to smoke, not just outside the door.
