jfergi27 Posted June 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2011 Hello Everyone! We are planning to take a Alaska Cruise in Sept 2012. We are still debating on which cruiseline to take so we need advice. We want to depart Seattle. Another question is if it ends in Vancouver is there ground transportation available back to Seattle for our roundtrip flight? Thank you! Rare Essiesmom Posted June 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2011 Cruises that leave from Seattle are either round trip, coming back to Seattle, or one way, ending in Alaska. If your child will be 15 months old in Sept 2012, it must be just born, or almost born...I would not book a cruise with a child until he/she is older, and you find out what 'kind' of child you have. Some do not travel well, others are very easy going. It will take you a few months to figure this out. EM
mom2sz Posted June 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2011 It looks like the best option for you is to look at the cruises that do roundtrip Seattle. The driving force for our past two Alaska cruises have been the itineraries, overall price and times on each port. Do you have a preference for a bigger or smaller ship? Are there certain ports you want to see more than others? Maybe if you can share what points you are debating on and what specific advice you need, we can help a bit more. I agree with EM that you need to see how your child's behavior pattern and personality is. We took our daughter on an Alaska cruise when she was almost 6 months but that was knowing she wasn't fussy and traveled well.
