M-Class "Solsticized" Ships- New Slot Machines???

Just got off the Infinity and the old style coins-in-the-hopper, lack of players club, and slot machines that are at least ten years old didn't excite me.... Did they swap out the slot machines for new ones on the M-class "Solsticized" ships??? Are they now using Ticket-In/Ticket-Out??? Any recent cruiser on the newly M-Class Solsticized Ship that played the slots, please let me know....Thanks...

Hi Oren !

 

The only M-Class ship that's been Solsticized to date is Constellation. For some odd reason, the Casino is one of the few areas that Celebrity didn't touch. The Slot machines are still quite dated, and use coins - not the Ticket system used on the Solstice class ships. The Casino Manager said they are "in the process" of updating the machines, but refused to offer further details.

 

I hope Celebrity will put an upgrade program in place on the M-Class ships, as the Slots could definitely use some updating.

The machines are not restricted to Tickets, you can still put money in it, newer machines just won't accept coins but they will certainly take bills.

One would think that with all the nirovirus issues, cruise lines would want to eliminate coins and go with paper.

Those dirty black hands, empty coin hoppers when you need a refill (always at the worst possible time!), no players club, the weight and inventory of the coins, and the fact these machines are 10+ years old..... Come on, if you are going to "modernize a ship" at least get one of your main revenue devices current!
