allurenewbie Posted June 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2011 We'd like to do one of the snorkeling excursions, but would like input on which of the three ports would have the best snorkeling. Thanks in advance for any information
CaptData Posted June 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Cozumel has the best snorkeling of the lot. It is world famous behind the Great Barrier Reel in Australia.
daveky Posted June 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Not Labadee because of the lack of fish to look at. There are many other things to do on this stop.
Rare island lady Posted June 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Is your ship not stopping in Grand Cayman? That is by far one of the best. I also agree Labadee is not a snorkel port, but more of a "beach day". Falmouth, I have never been to, but will be there the end of this year! Though, from what I am hearing, all tours are "bused" over to the old port.

Some good deep sea fishing from the Great Barrier "Reel" also!! ;) :D
wvufan Posted June 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2011 Not knowing your level of experience or interest, we recommend taking a cab to Chankanaab Park in Cozumel. Good snorkeling with easy access and the park is great. Happy Sails to You OOOEEE :D:D Bob and Phyl
allurenewbie Posted June 26, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted June 26, 2011 We are relative novices but just snorkeled at Looe Key in the Florida Keys and did fine. The water was pretty calm and warm. Thanks for the info and I'll do some further research on the place you mentioned.
