Elmer McCurdy Posted July 6, 2011 #226 Share Posted July 6, 2011 My fave..."It's easier to ask for forgivness than for permission". I'm guessing no one will say a word to you. :) And if they do, just call it an inhaler. Everyone assumes you're an asthmatic, no questions are asked. iowagirl411 Posted July 6, 2011 #227 Share Posted July 6, 2011 Right now I use a two part system that does pretty much look like an analog cigarette - well if analogs were purple, blue or pink with yellow or green filters, etc. But I may get one of those souped-up mods that looks like a small car muffler:eek: I do have stealth set-up that looks like a ball point pen with clicker & pocket clip and all. What cigarette? I don't see a cigarette!;)

Elmer McCurdy Posted July 6, 2011 #232 Share Posted July 6, 2011 This conversation has absolutely nothing to do with smoking! Of course it does. The problem is that CCL (and a lot of other people) want to relegate vapors with smokers, which isn't fair as vaping isn't smoking and the point of vaping is to not smoke. But to say it has nothing to do with smoking when vapors are being pushed into the smoking section is a ridiculous and illogical statement. The real issue is ignorance and education. But because smoking is viewed as such a plague on humanity, vapors suffer by proxy.

Elmer McCurdy Posted July 6, 2011 #234 Share Posted July 6, 2011 Sorry. The post I quoted sounded to me like you were taking Carnival's side. Ultimately, it's their ship and their rules. But since I find their policy to be illogical and written in ignorance, I choose to ignore it.

lowroller Posted July 7, 2011 #236 Share Posted July 7, 2011 I played at a non smoking table in the casino 7 out of 9 nights last week with a lady using an E Cig. No one said a thing to her, nor should they have. So I'd say on the Carnival Magic they were not enforcing the rule. Glenn

sinkers22 Posted July 7, 2011 #238 Share Posted July 7, 2011 Well, I've read the whole thread and just thought I would pop in my 2 cents worth. I'm a bit perplexed about the whole e-cig thing and Carnival's new policy. It is not smoking and I am not looking forward to spending my nights in the casino surrounded by people smoking cigarettes. Guess I will have to bit the bullet and not use my e-cig in the casino until Carnival comes to its senses. As for e-cigs and the various brands out there. The Joye510 Ego tank kit is awesome. I must have 12 different e-cigs, 901's, regular Joyes, tanks, you name it. The Joye 510 Ego with the tank lasts me all day with no charging and filling my tank. Mine is pink with no lights, so there is no mistaking it for a cigarette. The best liquids out there come from a little company right here in beautiful Vermont. They make their own with distilled water, vegetable glycerin, food grade flavorings, nicotine and citric acid. The flavors are delish (I love the Cafe-au-Lait) and they are made right in the good ole USA. The name of the company is vtvapor dot com. Check it out! I'm guessing you're not a man what with a pink one. I had a lady cop respond to a house where we had an a/c stolen and she had neon pink handcuffs hanging on the spotlight in her patrol car. She laughed and said nothing makes a man feel studlier than standing in the docket room in pink handcuffs! :)

Glenn I vaped constantly while playing at the non-smoking Texas Hold'em table a month ago on the SPLENDOR and only one person asked me what I was doing. I gave her a 30 second explanation and that was the end of that. (took most of her money, too):D

As I've said, it's never been a problem on the 5 or 6 cruisers I've been on since switching to e-cigs but that was all before this new, extremely dumb rule..... Texarribean Chick Posted July 11, 2011 #242 Share Posted July 11, 2011 and as promised, I would let you all know how it was with an e-cig. I vaped everywhere without ever a word being said to me. I vaped in the casino, at Ocean Plaza, at the Piano Bar, Disco, and Serenity Deck. No staff ever said a word to me. Now granted, I was trying to be discreet about it and blew the vapor down low instead of up high. The only comment I received was from the BlackJack band. The lead singer did ask me about it and I explained to her what it was. Frankly, she thought it was neat and she never smelled a thing. Good Luck to all that might try it - as mentioned by previous poster - I'm sure its just a matter of time before the staff is properly educated on what e-cigs are and what the "insane" rules for them are. futaba951 Posted July 12, 2011 #244 Share Posted July 12, 2011 You can get "juice" that duplicates the taste and aroma of cigarettes. Some even make my fellow cigar smokers want to try them. If your DH smokes 2 packs a day, save time and money and go straight to a tank type vaporizer. (about the size of a cigarillo) http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products.html Great company, can't go wrong. Website has a forum similar to CC with "vapors" that will answer ANY questions. Excellent fast service.:) I buy my juice elsewhere because I like this other company (Johnson Creek, located in Wisconsin), but I'm sure I will eventually try their juices. On your recommendation I switched to Tornado T. Very happy!! I get my juice from Tasty Vapors. I was using Nucig (also a UK company) and was very happy with them. They put out a massive cloud of vapor, but on the downside I could never get more than 1-1.5 hours out of a battery and was constantly refilling cartomisers and charging batteries. BTW the tobacco flavor juice from Totally Wicked is THE NASTIEST stuff I have EVER tasted. Made me gag. I threw out a full bottle of it and dumped out all of the pre-filled tanks they sent me!! Ocean Spirit Posted July 12, 2011 #245 Share Posted July 12, 2011 I stopped smoking about 4 years ago. I really don't drink except on cruises. Guess it was from my college days going bar hopping a drink and cig just go together. So on this last cruise I got a e-cig (green smoke) no nit in the ones I buy. Worked great on the cruise and had no desire to smoke the real thing either.

Through the nose or slowly through the teeth work, as does exhaling into a cloth like you're coughing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/tornado-tank-ecig-products.html I switched to these. The batteries last about 4-5 hours so I only change batteries about once a day and the change tanks of juice once, or maybe twice a day. They are great and the prices seem to be a little cheaper than a lot of the other companies. They are bigger than a cigarette though and don't have the glow tips like a lot of the others have. I have been really pleased with them so far. And they are running a summer sale right now too!!
