I'm on "brain fog"..have used both of them previously but can't remember what the amounts of money applied to each application:

1) CCL stock applicable to the length of the cruise (# of days & amt of $)

2) FCC applicable to length of cruise & cabin category

Thanks...

The Shareholder OBC above is incorrect. 6 or fewer days is $50, 7 to 13 is $100 and 14 or more is $250. It doesn't matter if you have an inside or outside cabin. The exception is for a TA an the QM2, where you get $100.

Here's how Princess figures the $ benefits

Free internet minutes for Platinum and Elite:

7 day cruise ......... 150 minutes ... (worth $75)

10+ day cruise ......... 250 minutes ... (worth $100)

21+ day cruise ......... 500 minutes ... (worth $175)

Carnival stock OBC

cruise of less than 6 days = $50

cruise of 7-13 days = $100

cruise of 14 days or more = $250

Future Cruise Credits when used to book cruise

7-9 days = $25pp (inside cabin) ..... $50pp (outside cabin)

12-15 days = $75pp ............."............. $100pp "

16+ days = $125pp .......... " ............ $150pp "

For the Future Cruise Credit, the middle catgory should be 10-15 days.

If I purchase a FCC on a princess cruise can that be used for a cruise on carnival. and vice versa?

Thanks

No. The cruise lines are separate companies owned by Carnival Coporation. Each has their own plan

When we boarded the Crown this past June, OBC for our 2 FCC's and $100 credit for our stock were not listed on our "bill". I had kept the printed copies of the FCC from our the cruise when we bought it and I had confirmation of my sending proof of stock ownership to Princess. It took 3 days on the ship, but it was credited to our account. Having the printed proof helped the desk staff get it done.

I have found this information very helpful, thanks. Wish I had known about it before my first Carnival Corp. cruise many moons ago. We are booked on two Princess cruises in 2012 for a total of 43 days and the $250/cruise benefit will be very handy.

Can someone please share their experience in where/how to purchase the CCL stock? How can I avoid excessive fees? Do you have a broker or use an online site?

Any information greatly appreciated. If you like you can e-mail me at jluvs2trav at yahoo.com But, perhaps the information will be helpful for other enquiring minds if you post here.

Thanks in advance,

Joanne

Look to open an account with Fidelity or Ameritrade. Very low fees. Also, with two cruises coming up, you should be getting more than $250.
