Ray66 Posted July 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2011 I've just returned from a two week cruise to the Baltic on the Queen Elizabeth and couldn't fault it. I love the ship and the other two Cunard ships. I don't understand some of the remarks in that article. Some just seem to be nit-picking. "but many appeared not to be able to understand English and seemed very tired.” Obviosuly a lot of the crew are foreign, as on most cruise ships I suspect. “There is no buzz, no sparkle, no ‘wow’ factor,” I'm not sure exactly what they expect? There again I have nothing to compare it with as I've only ever sailed with Cunard.
Ray66 Posted July 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2011 Are these not "wow" factors? Only Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria have private boxes in the theatre. Cast members that I spoke to said that they had never performed in a theatre like this at sea. How many ships have two storey libraries with 6,000books?
