Port of Miami

I have a question that may be crazy but here it goes...our last cruise out of Miami we took a shuttle from our hotel. This year we will be staying with DIL in Plantation and DFIL is driving us to the port. Will it be difficult for him to enter the area to drop us off and exit or will he need to park some place? Also what about upon our return, is there an area for pick ups?? I honestly can't remember seeing a "drop off" location close to the port..Thanks

Good question.

 

Yes, you can be dropped off right at the terminal. It's good to find out ahead which terminal the ship will be at within the port,although if you don't you can figure it out when you are there and they can drop you off right outside the terminal. On the day they pick you up I would have them wait either at the parking lot within the port of say somewhere near Bayside and then call them right as you are getting ready to get off the ship before you claim your luggage so they can get over to the terminal area to pick you up right outside.
