Capri Hydrofoil Tickets

I'm planning to do Capri as a DIY in early November. I often read on this forum or elsewhere that you should buy your return ticket to Naples as soon as you arrive in Capri. My question is can't you just buy a return ticket in Naples and avoid the hassle of lining up at the Capri ticket office? I will know which hydrofoil I want to retun on so why bother with two separate tickets?

You will not have an issue with lines for tickets. Your issue will be that your visit is out of season, the hydrofoil will be truncated or totally halted (off season) and you might find that the slower ferries are your only option. Also keep in mind that you will find some of the shops and cafes on Capri closed for the season. Traveling out of season does have rewards (few crowds) but also has its problems (less transporation, closings, weather, etc.)
