aos - best night to reserve portofinos

Would like to know from anyone who has sailed recently which night (in their opinion) would be the best to go to portofinos.

Preferably a night where the menu is not that great????

We always prefer to do it the first night. It is easy to get a reservation and the first night menu is NOT the best. We always go to our table first and meet the waiter/asst. waiter and tablemates to explain our absence.

When you get on board..making reservations should be the second thing you do after going to your stateroom to drop off you carry-on luggage.

We always go there on Caribbean night, as we don't care for that type of food too much.

Caribbean night is one of my favorite nights as I love the Jerk Chicken and Conch Fritters! I always go to Portofino on Italian night since we are trading good Italian for great Italian!

Thanks, maggieq, cause I was wondering this also. I was going to request every night's Dining Room menu when I got there, and decide from there. They do have the menus set up in advance, right? I'm hoping it won't be a problem...
