Tampa..Marriott Waterside...anything close??

We are staying at the Marriott Waterside. I know it's close to the port, and it's a great place to stay, but I am wondering if there is any place close by to purchase water/pop, etc., before our cruise?

there is a PUBLIX (i think) that is walkable...it isn't a SHORT walk but not horrible....it's on the other side of the convention center......

 

the hotel is gorgeous though!

Couple of good options for the wine:

 

1) Wine is sold in the grocery stores in Florida, so the Publix will have a pretty good selection.

 

2) There is a nice wine shop in the Channelside entertainment complex, which is right where the cruise port is located. They are familiar with the "bring on board" rules, which vary by cruiseline, so they can give you guidance as to what is allowed - and they'll package it so that it's convenient to bring onboard. I believe they also offer free delivery to the downtown hotels. They have a very nice wine selection with competitive prices, and the owners & employees are very friendly & helpful (it's a small, locally owned, mom & pop type shop). www.tampawinedesign.com

forgot about that wine place...and i stopped in...it was nice!!

 

channelside is cool too, from some of the balconies there, it looks like you can reach out and touch the ships!!
