Beaches in Charlotte Amalie

Hi all, my fiance and I are getting married onboard the ship in April 2013, and are currently 'toying' with the idea of gettig off the ship after the ceremony and going to a beach to have some more phtographs taken with our family.

 

Can anyone recommend a fabulous beach within walking distance from the port of Charlotte Amalie which would be suitable??

There are no beaches within walking distance of where the ships dock. Taking a cab will be necessary. My favorite beach is Sapphire.

Depending on which side of Charlotte Amalie you will be docking at if :

Crown Bay the Emerald Beach is close but you will need taxi. This beach can be very crowded when ships are in port. If docking in Havensite the close beach is Morning Star. Since both have to have a taxi, you might as well go to Sapphire beach or Megan's beach. Sapphire would be my first choice due to the great back ground for having you pictures taken. You can have rocks on the point along with the sandy beach.There is a small bar for food and drinks so make a day of it. Taxi is always waiting or make arrangements to be picked up by the one who dropped you off.
