That's a shame, Deb. You don't need your short cruise shortened any more!

Hope you are well on the way to recovery. :)

Have been talking with Debsta and Barnsey and yes they are staying overnight at wharf 5..... Sailaway at 6 in the morning... Debsta is cranky cause the casino not open..lol.. no, not really, they are having great time onboard.. They were told that safer to stay as the seas straight off Sydney are 8+ metres  Prob not much fun as guessing a lot of the passengers would be first time cruisers. Fiona :)

Ooh-er, they are still there - hope they don't have to stay at the wharf all weekend. :(

Enjoying themselves on the 'Floating RSL' ! LOL. I am sure the party is happening, even though they are tied up. When is the ship due back from this jaunt?

As for the on board casino opening, I doubt it, whilst still in NSW ! or its waters.

Just checked Kruze Cam, looks like Pacific Jewel is still in the Harbour, on way to the heads, Bon Voyage (again!)

We were on the Jewel J121, the weather was not that bad but we were 6.5hrs late...there could have been a breakdown I believe.

Missed our flight, cost $1300 for two flights to get home, I'm sure if the ship was due to depart at 4pm & not 8pm we would have made the flights.

I have been on the same sea in worst conditions with the same captain & still on schedule...the rest of the cruise was good but the feedback, info & departure was shocking...it was like we have your money, your not spending anymore on the cruise card so stiff....not happy at all.

I have just got off the phone to a friend who was on this cruise and she told me how well informed they were about the delayed arrival with notices & claim forms for added expenses delivered to their cabin:confused:.

If we lived in Sydney or had a late flight it would have been ok but our flight was 2.25pm, even people with 4pm flights missed them.

Had a call from Barnsey and Debsta. They having a great time eventhough no sailaway party etc.... The first day there were lots of sick people  Muster in the showlonge after they set off started lots of people off .... Poor things.... Probably a good thing if they stay anchored for while, wouldnt be nice feeling sick, a normal cruise wouldnt be so bad as you would have lots more days but as this is only 3 day,,, Fiona

Poor poor first time cruisers.

Doubt that many would go back after that.

Hubby and I were first timers, actually there was a lot. Speaking just for us, though a bit sad to set sail so late, we still got to enjoy the floating hotel and all it had to offer. P & O can't help the weather, I do hope other first timers take that into consideration. I know we had lots of fun :)
