It's both. Free drinks at the past guest party and free drinks at the Farewell Party. Drinks at the Captain's party, usually on the first elegant night, are $1 off.

 

This has been my experience as past guest as of last cruise Mar2011.

On our welcome back party on Pride they had free drinks, appetizers, a live band (and a lounge singer we could have done without). There was a slide show they showed to everyone. It was held in the main theater.
