RumpunchGirl Posted July 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2011 I'm pretty sure I read a few months ago that if you eat at the Steakhouse (in my case Nick and Nora's) the 1st night of the cruise you get a complementary bottle of wine with dinner. Can anyone confirm this for me as I couldn't find the info thru a search. Thanks! :D Teri
QLUVS2CRUZ Posted July 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2011 This was true when we just went on the Pride. They have specific bottles you can get free. (Sorry, I don't know the names!)
mss22859 Posted July 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2011 I would like the answer to this as well, as it could change our plans for night #1.:)

B and C Blake Posted July 24, 2011 #9 Share Posted July 24, 2011 Lat week I e-mailed our hostess and requested to add the 1st night reservation to our already existing reservation for our 8/28 cruise on Valor. The hostess replied back that our time selection was not available but we could slip into the next time slot. So since more and more folks are becoming aware of the propmo I would not wait to reserve.;)
wendymac Posted July 24, 2011 #10 Share Posted July 24, 2011 We had a free bottle on our cruise in May of this year on the Freedom - we didn't know about this until we boarded the ship.
RumpunchGirl Posted July 25, 2011 Author #11 Share Posted July 25, 2011 Thanks everyone. We don't cruise until 1/29/2012 but will reserve soon! I wish I was going next week!!! :D
golfadj Posted July 25, 2011 #12 Share Posted July 25, 2011 You get a choice of house red or white. If you like it good deal if not oh well. We prefer to meet our table mates the first night of the cruise.
psucruiser11 Posted July 25, 2011 #13 Share Posted July 25, 2011 It was true on Freedom sailing July 2. The steakhouse was awesome on the first night. We had a window seat, and the restaurant practically to ourselves. Free bottle of wine (red or white, probably a $10 bottle on land, $25 value on the ship). Also, you miss out on the craziness in the dining hall on the first night.

repogirl49 Posted July 25, 2011 #15 Share Posted July 25, 2011 Yep on the Dream, so I assume it is ship wide, they announce it of the loud speaker. But then the phones blow up and all you hear is a busy signal. Suggest you make the reservation before the announcement! Julie G.
psucruiser11 Posted July 25, 2011 #16 Share Posted July 25, 2011 How far ahead of your cruise should a person get reservations? You likely wouldn't have any trouble as a walk-in. We showed up 15 minutes early and asked if the hostess could seat us. She said "let me take a look to see if that's possible" and opened her big reservation book. There were 3 names with about 30 empty slots. She pondered for a minute, and then decided that yes, they could seat us a little early.
rockabutzer Posted July 25, 2011 #17 Share Posted July 25, 2011 How far ahead of your cruise should a person get reservations? DW and I are cruising on the Pride in December. I made our first night reservations this past February! Wanted to avoid the rush. ;)

SNJCruisers Posted July 26, 2011 #19 Share Posted July 26, 2011 Just got off the four day Canada cruise on the Glory. Yes, it was still in effect and once on board, we wanted to make reservations for the last night at the Emerald Steakhouse. The only slots available were 5:00, 7:00 and 8:30. So, if you have a specific time you want, make your reservation a head of time.
