Petoonya Posted July 12, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2012 For someone who is very new to sobriety it will be difficult. A family member has also been very active in AA for almost 20 years and says that he's never been on a cruise where there were not great meetings. And also people who are are there for newcomers. The best hope is that the boyfriend has at least a few months under his belt and is attending meetings and working a solid program. But it's up to him to work his program and get help with deciding on whether or not to cruise with you. Let go of that decision and whether or not he will remain sober. Nothing you can do but pray for him.
