are outside cabins worth the money?

The last ship we sailed on with portholes was QE2 me and my wife loved it we were near the sharp end to hear the waves crashing against a porthole at night was very soothing and relaxing sound to go to sleep to

we have just booked a cruise on Thomson's celebration and hopefully we will be at the sharp end again
