newfirsttimer Posted July 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2011 Does anyone know or remember whether there is Decaf coffee available on AMA, hopefully not of the instant variety? I have to avoid caffeine but love my morning coffee. Thanks.
aussietraveller58 Posted July 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2011 I am on AMA Amadante right now- moored in Banburg, Germany - the ship is perfect in every way......EXCEPT the only decaf is instant!!Pity, as the expresso machine actually makes a decent coffee. I brought my own travelling plunger and decaf grounds. There is boiling water 24 hrs a day in the lounge. Unlike France and Italy, I have found it hard to get decaf expresso in German cafes on this trip.

Instant seems to be the only way to get decaf and I was soooooo looking forward to a decaf capuccino from the machine! Hope you are enjoying your cruise, we are doing PRague to Paris in Sept. on Amalegro.
Relaxationspecialist Posted August 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2011 In Russia we had brewed decaf on AMA. No cappuccino, alas. Next time I will bring along my milk frother. ;)
tetons Posted August 2, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2011 For those that have been on winter ones, do they have packets of decaf tea and do they have packets of hot chocolate or is that available?
shoshona2 Posted August 2, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 2, 2011 To tetons, Why don't you just bring your own packets. I bring my own oatmeal packets for breakfast no matter where I go in the World. Sheila
pacmom Posted August 3, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Tetons, Shoshona's suggetion for bringing your own decaf tea is a good one. There are 24/7 machines that dispense the most wonderful hot chocolate. So good after returning from the Christmas markets or in the morning before you start out. There is a selection of teas next to the machine just can't remember if decaf was there. See you in Dec. Pat
