Holiday Inn Express convention

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? Is it nice & is it easy to get around there?:)

haven't stayed there but you're centrally located to many things like shopping, dining and you're really close to the pier.....say $10 cab ride give or take....

 

i have stayed in several other HI express hotels and have never had any problems....in fact we were pleasantly surprised.....

 

(their website says they're a block from the pier....probably a little more, but it is NOT walkable as the port area is huge-you may know that already...:)

We have stayed at this hotel before most of our cruises so we can use our rewards points for a free night. The staff is very helpful, will store your luggage in a locked room if your room is not ready yet, so you can go to lunch or shop for cruise. We walk to Publix and Total Wine and there are plenty of restaurants you can walk to. When we stayed in Jan, 2011 we noticed that some upgrades had been done and the breakfast area had been enlarged. Rooms were clean, well airconditioned and had fridge and microwave. Two free bottles of water are always in fridge. We have used free airport shuttle with no problems. We did not use the port shuttle in January as we were using SAS to Miami which we had done ourselves. I noticed that they do now have a dedicated person at a podium that deals with shuttles and tours etc.
