aloisia Posted July 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2011 Hi, From reading other threads, J & K insides appear to be a nice layout. Is the sofa I see in the photos turn into a bed? or would DS have a bunk? Thanks!
BumperII Posted July 31, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2011 Hi,From reading other threads, J & K insides appear to be a nice layout. Is the sofa I see in the photos turn into a bed? or would DS have a bunk? Thanks! If you look on the deck plans, you will see either a small square or a small circle just above the cabin number. The K cabins on the Main Deck have neither. The J cabins with the square are quads, two lower beds, one sofa bed, 1 upper bed. If there is a circle, it is a tripple, two lower beds, on sofa bed. J1063 and J1069 are doubles. Hope that answers your question.

Trying to picture it opening to a straight bed. ;) DS is 6' - I had better check that the sofa opened is long enough. I appreciate your help! :)
janmcn Posted July 31, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2011 In the J cabin, the "longer" part of the J sofa (the one against the "door wall" folds out into a single bed. Not sure how long. THere was also a "drop down" bed over our "queen" (2 singles pushed together)...4 would be tight, but doable for the less expense. Great layout. Hawaiidan Posted July 31, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2011 Dont forget that 4 persons in any cabin have only one small bathroom. Too, that there is a fixed storage capacity good for maybe 3 people tops. Then the issue of 4 persons in even a suite is a crowd.. Fun for an hour; not 24/7. As the days mount so do the tension and little things you could tollerate in the beginning of the week become bigger and bigger issues. The Cruise from hell soon begins It may sound good on paper, saying just for sleeping, but the reality and practicality soon set in changing is a big deal, an afternoon nap..no way, and the clutter that will soon rise because of lack of storage. Most cabins are designed for 2 persons not 3 or 4. The ship puts in more beds purely to raise the profit, not only from the room, but the on-board spending that 1 or 2 more people bring. Cabin, even a suite for more than 2 is pennywise and pound foolish... this is supposed to be a vacation...isnt it?
