jomf Posted August 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Where are you flying from? Most are 2-3-2 But some are 2-4-2 Ours from Birmingham was 2-4-2 Plenty of leg room, food fine, worth upgrading for £5 the entertainment.
laurakdy Posted August 1, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted August 1, 2011 We're flying from glasgow... What do you mean about £5 ? Do you not get any entertainment ? Or do you mean, is it better to pay the £5 to upgrade and get better entertainment ?
Thejuggler Posted August 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2011 If it's a Boeing or Airbus in a 2-4-2 formation pay for an upgrade - the seats are fine for 3 hours to Majorca, but far too narrow to be comfortable on a long trip. All schedule airlines have these aircraft fitted out as 2-3-2.

No you all get in flight entertainment but for £5 each way you get a few extra channels with the latest movies plus you can pause and FF/Rewind at will. You pay onboard. Worth it in my opinion but you can check the movie schedule in your seat back and decide if its worth it.
Elaine0138 Posted August 3, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Just checked our flight with Thomas Cook and the Premium class is 2-3-2, the rest of the plane appears to be 3-3-3.
Thejuggler Posted August 3, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Apologies form me. I meant to state that the Airbus A300/A330 charter is often 3-3-3, the 767 2-4-2. I have done a flight to India on a 3-3-3 Airbus and it was very tight. We paid for an upgrade another year and it was worth the extra to have 2-3-2 seating.
