HI I tried to get this screen and was unable to get the view that you got. Do you know how much you would have to spend to qualify for this because our cruise on the Freedom this pass May we accummulated 7000 points. We are booked on a B2B o n the Magic for April 1 and 8. For the 1 of April we paid 898, so that would be a good savings.

I don't know how much you'd have to spend to be eligible for the fare. Sorry I can't help with that.

When looking on Carnival's site, be sure you are logged in. Maybe even clear your cache.

If you still can't see it and are booked with a PVP, call and tell them how much you gambled last time, and ask them to check for the VIP rates. If you don't do any good that way, just fill out the form and send it in for a price adjustment.

If you booked with a TA, that person will have to handle it for you.

I will check rates for you, but I need to know which cabin type to look at.

Thank you for the offer. For good or bad I definitely do see them again, so I assume that means I qualify. Am hopeful I can get the savings. Again, would not have thought there would even be such a rate available, even though we are casino regulars.

Have you seen the Players Club pricing on Carnival's website?

I just checked prices on my two upcoming cruises. I knew one of them was booked at a "casino rate" but my other cruise is offering it, too!

Haven't yet checked with PVP to see about it. I'm guessing I can price match it to Early Saver?

Where do you find those prices?

You have to log on to your Carnival account then click on FIND A CRUISE in the upper left. Cruises with an "i" next to them appear to have VIP player pricing. I think there are a bunch of screen captures of the process on another thread, if not this one. I would save about $120 on my upcoming cruise for three, which is almost 12 percent of what I paid. Not sure if the savings is more or less for other people or for other cruises.

I just called Carnival out of curiosity and the lady put me on hold because she didn't know either. She came back and said its a promotional code based on past guest info and could be casino play. She said its a code you would have recieved via email or regular mail. But you all didn't have a code right? You just logged in and seen it. Don't think that info is correct.

No code is required. If you look at page 1 of this thread, you'll see screen shots of what I see when I log in and check prices.

No email or regular mail came. This is one reason I recommend everyone who books direct with Carnival have a PVP. You speak with the same person every time instead of just whomever answers and may or may not know the answers.

Okay writer I called Carnival as well and they didn`t know what I was talking about either. They said that they must have a code. I will wait until tomorrow to call VIP Players and see what I can find out, but if you could just plug in my details and see what you get I would greatly appreciate it. April 1 and April 8 , balcony category 8c.

I understand, I was just curious if she knew the requirements.

Forgot to ask WHERE (forward, aft, mid-ship) and how many travelers.

Based on TWO travelers:

April 1 - an 8C on Upper Deck, aft section = $919.

April 8 - same spot $1,054.

Not sure if this helps or not.

Those prices are more than I paid, but we have 8c midship deck 7

Those prices seemed high to me, but ...

I'd say call Carnival Players Club tomorrow as you intended. Then maybe you'll know with more certainty.

And maybe call Carnival again, too. Someone different may give you a different answer. :)

Thanks so much for your help, I will post what I find out. But when I look at what you posted it shows 739 for a balcony for april 1 and on my page it shows 889, so there is definitely a difference. I will keep you posted. Have a good night.

We got a completely comped suite thru the casino for our upcoming cruise in 2 weeks and I went on Carnival's website to see if I could see the VIP rate for any upcoming months and don't. That doesn't make alot of sense to me....

The $739 you saw was for a cove balcony. But then you have to add on $$ per day for a regular balcony and $$ per day for a certain balcony category (you're in a C instead of A or B), etc. ;)

I agree with you the base amount on my page if 889 and the base amount on your view for vip is 739, then you add the $$$ for location, and deck.......it brings my total excluding port charges up to $1998. $150 for balcony, $50 for location and $30 for the deck. So the grand total would be 1708 where now I am paying $1998. That is $300 savings. So if I had that option available to me as you see to choose the vip verses the earlly saver, it would be super. Anyway I will keep you posted on my findings. We do spend a lot of time in the casino and spend many dollars. And we did receive the offer in the mail for the November cVIP cruise, but as we were already booked on the Magic we denied the offer.

Your rate will stay Early Saver but at a better price.

You can apply those mail offers to existing reservations! I received one in the spring and wasn't ready to book, as it was nearly time for me to go on the Ecstasy. When I finally called my PVP about it, he said I could have gotten the casino rate on my already booked cruise as long as my cabin category was still available. It wasn't, in my case. :(

Hi OKwriter

I called the VIP casino office today and they said I s hould be entitled to the same offer. So he said that his supervisor was going to sent it over to the reservation centre and he wasn<t sure if it would be OBC or price reduction. Either way it counts.....he said I said see it on line in 24 hours. So I will keep you posted. And thanks for all your help. The VIP offer I got said 400 cash as well, I don`t know if they will give me that as well but i will bring my card with me. I will let you know what the difference ends up being.

That's awesome! Yes, please do keep me updated about how it works out! :)

ALSO, if they do offer you "casino cash" for gambling, see if they will follow up with an email that you can print out and take on board. That way if it doesn't happen, you can show your email to the casino host.
