Embracedbylife Posted August 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2011 I see that there is a small space between some rooms on the deck plans for the Jewel of the Seas. For instance on Deck 9 there is a small space between rooms 9548 and 9550; between 9048 and 9050; between 9604 and 9606; 9204 and 9206; between 9636 and 9638 and between 9236 and 9238. Is this an area that gives crew access or a ladder down the side of the ship? We are considering a cabin beside this and curious what this is? thanks! DonnaK Posted August 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2011 I believe that's the firewall. It's not a hollow space but rather a thicker wall.
cb at sea Posted August 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2011 The deck plans are not "to scale"...some "blank" areas are firewalls..some larger ones are storage areas, for housekeeping or for pipes/wires, etc.... None should cause you a problem.
Embracedbylife Posted August 6, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Thanks! Just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything to obstruct the view. Appreciate it! We just booked our first cruise on RCCL..looking forward to it!
